Hi Jarmo.
I have a data set from Telescope Live and WBPP cannot plate solve no matter how i change the settings.
So i threw the lot into AutoIntegrate and it plate solved no problem at all, Not even a hiccup.
So to get to the point. Is there a way to have different types of Drizzle. I like to try different types, ie Square Round Gaussian. Could that be something for a future update if at all possible.
Hi Peter,
There something strange in the plate solve. I have struggled a lot with it also when using AutoIntegrate. But nice to hear that it works better now.
I can check if different drizzle options would be easy to add. I just recently realized that different options that could be useful in some cases.

Jarmo
This is about the different drizzle methods.
PixInsight Drizzle
Thanks Jarmo.
It’s not that important a feature. It’s just a thought i had.
I imagine the coding isn’t easy.
I’ve never had a problem with the plate solve as such, the odd occasion when I’m using SPCC. Again that could be down to the lights not having the data in fits header to match what i plug into plate solve.
All the best
Peter
Interesting read danieldh206.
Way to complicated for me to get my head around.
My default setting in WBPP is Gaussian Drizzle x1 it just seems to give a smoother image.
My computer grinds to a halt with x2. New computer is being built this weekend, present one is 12 years old so maybe x2 will be possible.

Peter
Drizzle X2 needs lots of ram and fast drives.
I have added some basic options for drizzle in the new test version v1.75 test1. Options are set in the Processing 2 / Drizzle section.
If you want to try these settings and maybe comment if more options would be useful, the repository for the test version is https://ruuth.xyz/test/autointegrate/

Good morning Jarmo.
Thanks or that, I will give it a try now.

New build is a AMD 9950x with 96Gb memory possibly 192Gb at some time soon and 12Tb Nvme plus 4Tb ssd for storage. It’s still sitting in the boxes so must put it together.
All the best
